The AWS summer slalom camp is suitable for slalom and non-slalom paddlers alike. Paddlers from age 13 to 18 are welcome and just need to have a reliable roll in class II whitewater and experience paddling class II/III whitewater, ideally with comfort and control on the Upper Kan. The week will be spent building technical and tactical slalom and kayak cross skills and this will be facilitated by the AWS coaching team. Athletes will be camping on site and coaches will be on-site to supervise on and off water time. Attendees will need to be independent in preparing food and ensuring they come to each day/session on-time and ready to paddle. Parent's are welcome to attend and camp to help with the off-water logistics.
