This program is perfect for kids of all ages with previous paddling experience through a club or business. Comfortable on light-moving water, this program introduces you to the skills and techniques of kayak, canoe, or SUP slalom.

Eligible Athletes: 

• Anybody with previous kayak, canoe, or SUP experience through a club or business

• Comfortable on light-moving water (Class I/II)

• Suggested age 6-18yrs
   

What to expect:

• Program running from June to September
• Fun and inclusive group

• Experienced Salom coaches

• Set session days (1x or 2x per week, depending on what you sign up for)

• Locations Bowness Eddies, Harvie Passage and maybe a few Kananaskis trips
• Age-appropriate instructions on:

- Upstream gate

- Off-set gates

- Learning to read the water and what it does to your boat / board

- Advanced paddle strokes

- Surfing and boat / board control

- Rolling a slalom boat

- Racing a small slalom course and having fun on the water

• Weekly sessions
• Race Fee covered for the "Harvie Fall" Classic Slalom race
