The Kananaskis slalom camp (July 7-11) is an overnight camp hosted at Canoe Meadows. Athletes who have experience paddling the Kananaskis race course comfortably and are excited about canoe slalom or kayak cross are welcome to join! Please reach out to coach@albertawhitewaterslalom.com if you are unsure whether it is suitable. Athletes will be responsible for their own transportation to Canoe Meadows, their own meals/snacks, their own camping gear, and their own personal paddling gear (spray skirt, pfd, layers, dry top...). Slalom kayaks/canoes and kayak cross boats are available for rental- Contact the coaching team for rental info or more info in general! Coaching staff will be available 24/7 for supervision and moral support, parents are welcome to hang out with us too! *Athletes must be comfortable holding onto all their gear in the event of a swim *Coaches are not responsible for the athletes food Costs will be invoiced after the camp, and will be split equally to cover the costs of running the camp (covering the cost of canoe meadows camping, and covering a portion of the coaches' costs for camping, food, transportation etc) An invoice will be sent by the treasurer after the camp and the costs have been calculated.
